Championing Ethereum's builder community at ETH Denver 2025
We've returned from eight days in the heart of Colorado at the ETH Denver innovation festival, hosted each year to empower the onchain community to drive the Ethereum network forward.
As the world's largest crypto builder event, ETH Denver matches our own tireless efforts to support the network's builder community. Towards this goal, we co-hosted the event Onchain Growth Mixer: Getting a Billion People Onchain, in partnership with Base, Spindl, and Serotonin. The event tackled one of the biggest challenges in our space today — how to unravel complexity and onboard the next billion users onchain.
One day later, we opened BUIDL w. OKX, a meet-up event for skilled Ethereum builders eager to create the network's next big thing. The event comprised two insightful panel sessions plus a hands-on workshop led by OKX engineers. Here, we demoed key Ethereum features accessed via the OKX platform, including our application programming interface, which achieved more than 900,000 daily calls in 2024.
It's a priority of ours to nurture active communities that work together to solve pressing challenges and create groundbreaking products and features — for Ethereum and beyond. To help make this happen, we also hosted OKX Alpha Night, an evening of networking and community building featuring our friends at Metamask, Uniswap, Arbitrum, and other major crypto players.
OKX was well represented in Denver — a mark of our commitment to supporting Ethereum's evolution. The OKX Wallet team, developers, and members of OKX Ventures, our crypto and Web3 investment arm, were all in attendance, sharing insight and encouraging innovation.
Why ETH Denver? For a long time, we've championed the Ethereum network beyond trading, integrating it into our platform through our Wallet, staking, and wider infrastructure to encourage greater adoption. As a mark of our success, in 2024, we saw a 20x increase in DEX (decentralized exchange) daily trading volume, plus a 991% rise in OKX Wallets globally (as of December 5). And, we now provide cross-chain support to more than 100 networks, allowing our users to explore the onchain world seamlessly.
Our end goal is simple: to help onboard more people to Web3 while equipping communities to innovate, solve problems, and build the future of networks like Ethereum — equipped every step of the way with our class-leading tools and infrastructure.
