If you hold USD or stablecoins on an exchange between trades, those assets are doing nothing. No yield. No return. For years, the products designed to fix this — money market funds, T-bills, short-term Treasuries — were only accessible to institutional investors with the right accounts, brokers, and minimums. Retail crypto users were locked out. BUIDL on OKX changes that.

BUIDL (the BlackRock USD Institutional Digital Liquidity Fund) is BlackRock's tokenized money market investment fund, issued on public blockchain rails by Securitize. It brings the economics of a money market fund to the on-chain world, wrapped in a simple, stable digital asset. Think of it as putting your idle dollars into a high-quality, institutional-grade yield vehicle, without leaving the OKX app. Here's how it works:

• Backed by BlackRock. One of the world's largest asset managers is responsible for the fund.

• Stable value. Each BUIDL token is designed to always equal $1.00 USD.

• Yield accrues daily, is paid weekly. The fund pays yield based on its daily performance, benchmarked to the US Federal Funds rate — currently around 3.63% APY (shown as a 7-day average; actual yield may vary). Yield is paid weekly to customers on OKX.

• Deposit and withdraw BUIDL. Move BUIDL on and off OKX UAE directly — deposit from an external wallet or withdraw to one at any time, giving you full flexibility over how and where you hold your position.

Eligible OKX UAE customers can now buy BUIDL directly in the OKX app, giving access to an institutional-grade tokenized Treasury product on-platform, with no need to go off-chain or through a separate custodian. Access to BUIDL depends on your account status with OKX:

• If you've passed the standard UAE suitability assessment and have spot trading access, you can buy BUIDL and start earning yield on your idle USD assets. It's that straightforward.

• VIP customers: In addition to buying and earning yield, you can use BUIDL as yield-bearing collateral for derivatives and margin trading. That means your collateral earns the Federal Funds rate while it sits posted as margin.

BUIDL represents a meaningful shift in what's possible for retail investors in crypto:

1. Institutional yield, retail access. Products like this have historically required large minimum investments, and complex onboarding through traditional finance. OKX is simplifying access by making BUILD available in-app.

2. No crypto price risk. BUIDL is pegged to $1.00 and backed by short-term US Treasuries. The yield you earn isn't offset by token price volatility.

3. Your assets earn while they work. For derivatives traders, being able to use BUIDL as collateral means you're no longer choosing between earning yield and having capital available to trade. You can do both simultaneously.
