I teach OKX product development (Phase 4): How exactly should AI be implemented in a company? I've been promoting it for three years, let's look back and talk about the surprising 50% at OKX 🤖

A counterintuitive judgment: If a platform wants to increase DAU, the direction has been wrong from the start Everyone assumes the problem is insufficient features, so they add more. But from my daily use, it's actually the opposite—— What you need to do is not addition, but subtraction: first, remove all those settings that contradict "following" one by one Because the core task is only one: to build bonds between fans and KOLs. And following is the first gateway to bonding Based on this, cut three things👇 1️⃣ The dull gray badge for invited influencers: change it to the blue badge next to the nickname—a signal recognized by the platform, don’t hide it yourself 2️⃣ The feed doesn’t promote KOLs: learn from Weibo and Twitter to make recommendations, so fans grow organically 3️⃣ Live streaming strictly limits following: everyone else is trying hard to help fans follow streamers, but you do the opposite In the end, it boils down to one sentence: tipping is just the matchstick, bonding is the engine Activity fueled by money disappears once the money stops; with bonding, fans will come back again and again🔁 @Star_OKX @佳佳OKX "I Teach OKX Product Development" Episode 3, the full text is here👇

Let's start with a counterintuitive judgment — the default thinking is: if the functionality is insufficient, just add more features. My daily use of Planet leads to the exact opposite conclusion: what you need to do is not addition, but subtraction — first, delete all those settings that oppose "following" one by one. This is my third article teaching OKX product development. In the first two, I talked about the PC homepage and team collaboration. In this one, I discuss a more critical issue — how exactly Planet should increase its DAU. Outline of this article: 🎯 Want to increase DAU? Don’t rush to add features; what you lack is a "core task." 🚧 Your most conflicted area right now: constantly opposing "following." 🔵 First cut in the feed: replace that dull gray effect expert badge with a blue badge. 🔁 Second cut in the feed: learn from Weibo and Twitter to promote KOL recommendations. 📺 The most counterintuitive move in live streaming: while others desperately help fans follow, you are restricting it. ❤️ Bonds are the engine of DAU; tipping is just the matchstick. Enough talk, let's start the main text 🙏 🧵🧵🧵 Outline of this article Planet wants to increase DAU, but the direction has been wrong from the start. 1. Want to increase DAU? Don’t rush to add features; what you lack is a "core task." 🎯 Whether making games, products, or setting strategies, the first question I always ask is: what is the core task? Every action of a team must focus on this one task. Anything that contradicts or hinders this core task must be cut off. That’s it.

I wrote an article that might offend a lot of people: Frontend does frontend, backend does backend, product does product, testing does testing — this division of labor you've been doing for over a decade is fundamentally wrong. It wasn't just wrong in the AI era; it was already wrong in the internet era, but back then people had no choice. Here are some radical conclusions I experimented with in my own company: - In the AI era, product managers should be able to directly command AI to create demos and hand them over to development. If even AI can't produce what you want, it means no one understands what you're saying — then you're not a qualified product manager. - Developers should stop waiting and relying on others; you no longer need to write code line by line. Not understanding the business means you're useless. - Every product manager should be equipped with a Vercel and a Railway, so cheap it's almost free. - Development → Product → Marketing → User, every time information passes through a layer it gets discounted, and after three layers it becomes unrecognizable. Cut out the middle layers and form a three-party AI collaboration team of product, development, and marketing, where when one person speaks, the other two are fully synchronized. - The thing I fear most is hearing "I need to evaluate, build infrastructure, give me two months." Learn by doing, not do by learning. Start working first and push yourself 🏃 Ultimately, dividing people into frontend, backend, product, and testing roles is like turning people into tools that only know how to tighten one screw. A gentleman is not a tool — the world has long since changed. Full article here, "I Teach OKX Product Management (Part 2)" 👇

Let me start with something that might offend a lot of people — it's not just the AI era that's wrong. Even in the internet era, it was wrong; it's just that back then, people had no choice. This is my second article about teaching OKX product development. In the last one, I criticized their PC homepage. But in this one, I won't talk about how to change a specific feature; I'll talk about something bigger — what the entire team collaboration method should really look like. This approach isn't something I came up with on a whim; I experimented with it bit by bit within my own company. Here, I won't discuss the specifics of how developers write code; the core question is: how should product and development teams cooperate? Outline of this article: 🧩 First, correct a concept that has been domesticated for twenty years: division of labor itself is wrong. 🔩 The cost of over-division: everyone becomes a screw who doesn't understand the whole picture. 🎯 Product managers in the AI era: those who can't produce anything are unqualified. 🛠 Developers in the AI era: the wait-and-see, hands-off managers are no longer useful. 📡 Information gets distorted after passing through three hands; the middle layer is the biggest pitfall. 🤝 My answer: establish a tripartite AI collaboration group of product, development, and operations. 🏃 Learn by doing, not by studying before doing; start working first to push yourself. No more nonsense, let's begin the main text 🙏 🧵🧵🧵 Article outline Frontend does frontend, backend does backend, product does product, testing does testing — this division of labor you've been doing for over a decade is itself wrong. 1. First, correct a concept that has been domesticated for twenty years: division of labor itself is wrong 🧩 China Internet

$IBIT plunged 2.89%, smart money is quietly exiting 🚨

A rebound ≠ a reversal, $IBIT bowed out first. Look at the numbers $BTC 62,726 -0.32% $ETH 1,843 -1.03% $QQQ +0.65% $SPY +0.72% $IBIT -2.89% $DXY -0.16% $GLD -1.49% US Treasuries and rate cut expectations are still weighing on valuations. When AI/semiconductors cough, the US stock market has to take medicine; Trump's tariff line can snap the market anytime, and the story can flip at any moment. Money is clearly moving into defense; $QQQ didn’t dare to push hard, $IBIT is even softer than the spot market, and ETFs running first shows smart money isn’t following. $BTC barely held up, $ETH didn’t even bother to follow, funds are holding hard assets; $QQQ looks green but is actually hollow, $IBIT directly -2.89%, much worse than $BTC, spot market isn’t strong either; $DXY is easing up, giving risk assets a breather; $GLD is falling back, the safe-haven crowd is already running, and $GIGGLE is directly -10.2%, altcoin blood hasn’t been fully spilled yet. It looks lively today, but don’t rush in. Wait for someone to show weakness first, then the direction will truly emerge.

The residual heat of risk-on is still there, but a rebound ≠ a reversal, so don't get ahead of yourself 🤔 $BTC 63,039 -0.82% $ETH 1,868 -0.62% $QQQ +0.65% $SPY +0.72% $IBIT -2.89% $DXY -0.16% $GLD -1.49% Any movement near Hormuz causes crude oil to spike; the thorn of inflation hasn't been removed yet, and the Fed's tightening grip can't be loosened. U.S. bonds and exchange rates are the hidden lines; $DXY is slightly easing, but big money still hasn't dared to fully let loose, showing a strong defensive stance. $ETH is holding up better than $BTC, -0.62% vs. -0.82%, showing some resilience returning, risk appetite isn't completely dead. $QQQ's 0.65% rise looks okay, but $IBIT is down 2.89%, with ETFs lagging behind spot, indicating institutions don't want to chase at all. $SPY is wobbling along, lacking confidence; when $DXY softens, risk assets get a breather, but once it tightens again, blood is drawn immediately. $GLD fell 1.49%, so risk-off sentiment is indeed retreating, but this doesn't necessarily mean a real exit, it might just be a pause. Whether it can hold through the night is what really counts; whoever shows weakness first will set the direction.

Lei Zi really is a marketing master. This time, Xiaomi's car technology launch event actually directly announced the pre-sale price. It seems they want to try a new tactic, such as - Pre-sale price 299,000 - Official launch 259,000 This way, they can hype it up again Additionally As expected, Xiaomi's stock kept rising before the launch event, but started to fall after yesterday's event What we often say, "buy the expectation, sell the fact," is exactly like this #财报观察员:亚马逊指引不及预期,股价却反涨9%

Breaking news: The Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR) decreased by 3.8 million barrels last week, falling to 308 million barrels, the lowest level since March 1983. According to Zerohedge data, this marks the 18th consecutive week of decline, the longest downward streak since 2023. During this period, the oil stock in the U.S. Strategic Petroleum Reserve dropped by 108 million barrels, a 26% decrease. Meanwhile, commercial crude oil inventories outside the SPR fell by 7.2 million barrels to 405 million barrels, the lowest level since October 2018. This is also about 7% below the 5-year average for the same period in previous years. The U.S. oil buffer is disappearing.

The bond market is out of control. The US 30-year Treasury yield has now reached 5.27%, the highest level since June 2007. This officially marks a rise of 450 basis points since the 2020 low. At the current pace, we can expect to see US 30-year mortgage rates exceed 7.50% by the end of the year. Worse still, Federal Reserve Chair Walsh now firmly believes the market should operate independently without Fed guidance. Even without rate hikes or Fed guidance, the market continues to push rates higher; exactly as Fed Chair Walsh hopes. The bond market will soon become the most closely watched component of the global capital markets. This is clearly unsustainable.

Insider sentiment within companies is unusually pessimistic: As of July, only 14.8% of U.S. companies recorded insider purchases exceeding sales, expected to mark the lowest monthly figure in at least 21 years. This ratio has dropped 12.0 percentage points since February and is currently about 7.0 percentage points below the 10-year average level, which is around 25%. In contrast, about 44% of companies had insider purchases exceeding sales in January 2022. This weakness is widespread, with only the consumer goods, materials, and utilities sectors showing net insider buying. Among large companies, only 3.2% recorded net purchases. Corporate executives are becoming increasingly cautious.
